  • ✘ Not knowingly retain student personal information beyond the time period required to support the authorized educational/school purposes, or as authorized by the parent/student.
  • ✔ Collect, use, share, and retain student personal information only for purposes for which we were authorized by the educational institution/agency, teacher or the parent/student.
  • ✔ Disclose clearly in contracts or privacy policies, including in a manner easy for parents to understand, what types of student personal information we collect, if any, and the purposes for which the information we maintain is used or shared with third parties.
  • ✔ Support access to and correction of student personally identifiable information by the student or their authorized parent, either by assisting the educational institution in meeting its requirements or directly when the information is collected directly from the student with student/parent consent.

Generally, we provide services on behalf of our educational institution clients. In these circumstances, our clients typically collect, hold and use personal information and system data, and manage access to our services by authorised school staff.

We do not disclose your personal information with companies, organisations, government departments and other persons outside of Kioru Australia Pty Ltd except for the purposes described in this privacy policy to:

  • our educational institution clients for whom we manage services or third parties authorised by our clients to access the information;
  • third party suppliers and service providers (including providers for the operation of our websites and/or our business or in connection with providing our services to you);
  • payment systems operators (eg merchants receiving card payments);
  • anyone to whom our assets or businesses (or any part of them) are transferred;

While we make every effort to ensure personal information is kept within Victoria and Australia we do run servers internationally. As such your personal information may be transferred to our servers in our international secure facilities.

Access to databases is restricted to authorised employees of Kioru Australia Pty Ltd and we run information back ups every day, week and twice a month. Kioru Australia Pty Ltd employees are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

Access to physical data stores is secured by means of restricted access, password protection and access monitoring.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be totally secure. While we strive to protect such information, we cannot guarantee or provide warranties in respect of the security of your information provided to us or obtained from our website or online services.
